Hello Chaps,
From a previous post a few week ago I have some pictures at last.
This is the CU in a ground floor flat (1984), the customer wants new bathroom lights, sockets in Kitchen, new shower. The problem is replacing this old Crabtree board is not easy, there is no room in the metal enclosure and it is surrounded by storage heater controls.
I know I have to get protection to comply to 17th to do the work
Any ideas? Does anyone know anything about these old ceramic boards?

Cheers

I did one of these a couple of months ago, is yours the same with tails running in metal up the side?

I had so little room in mine I had to fit a ...dare I say it....Proteus board (damn it), they are rubbish those old boxes though, if you need a smaller board perhaps fit a main switch board with RCBO's

How about using a modern skeleton board or is there no cabinet surrounding the old board.

Just looked at the other larger picture, there must be enough depth in that cabinet for a insulated board surely?.
