High guys,

Im after the units that can be installed to assist in dimming of LED's...

Have played around and added some halogen loads which improves the situation greatly!

Lutron have specified a unit which sits adjacent to the Rania Dimmer but it's not very pretty...

So am seeing if anyone has used these devices and knows of a reputable source? Have had a google but really looking for someone who has used them....thanks

Hi, sorry to hijack post.. I have another query regarding dimmer switches.

A customer has 2 fluorescent lamps and a single gang light switch at the moment controlling them but he wants to change the switch to a dimmer switch. Am I right in saying that only certain ballasts are suitable for dimmer switches and secondly does anyone know where to buy decent looking dimmer switches from? Also, would a normal MK IQ white plastic dimmer switch do the job or do you have to buy specific control gear for florries? Any advice or help greatly appreciated chaps

Have just done an install of LED downlights and used a dimmer made by aurora which replaces the existing dimmer however did also use dimmable LED lamps. So no need to put the extra halogens on as it is made for dimming LEDS. (AU-DSP400X)

Hey, I have installed Beacon LEDlux, a great range of dimmable LED downlights. This 14 watt LED is the perfect choice to replace the old halogen downlights. It is very cheap and too efficient. An ideal for the areas which needs more light.

Thanks for your responses guys!

I think I was a bit unclear in my original post! It's a job which is already installed, I've been called in to improve the dimming.

It's ECOled fittings, very nice, and they advised Lutron Rania dimmer modules.

All trailing edge, and compatible it's just a case that you only get dimming down to approx 30%....which some manufactures spec anyway!

By increasing the load I can get better (lower dim range) and less flicker! Hence why I was looking for some kind of Resload!

The client has spent thousands on this kit, brand spanking new and the sparks on site was at a loss! Deffo should Set up a test rig before install to save embarrassment!

Bit of nightmare LED dimming in my past experience, looking forward to the company's getting it spot on....soon hopefully!

Hey,

Did an install a couple of months ago with 29 LED downlights that were all dimmable, was assured that the legrand dimmer that we had would work but no, so replaced with a MK dimmer and worked like a charm.

Looked Ace
Cheers
