double insulated (class2) bell transformer

hi there

just a quick question when installing a wired doorbell system is there really any need for a bell transformer that is double insulated/class2 to be enclosed in its own seperate enclosure ?

if there is no reason to protect from mechanical damage.

as long as the terminals are shrouded/covered to IP4X, no problem

thought that would be the case, grt no need for an ugly adaptable box
