ECS Card renewal time

I completed my H&S exam early May and applied for the renewal of my card and today it is still saying 'verifying'. How long does it take to get a card. This seems too long.

I applied for my renewal this morning and now in MyEcs portal it is showing...

• Received
• Verifying
• Verified
• Approved
• Prepared

Only printed & despatched left after approx half a day

If it is a new card or any changes / additions then it takes a lot longer because they are very strict on verifying all new qualifications / sponsors

If it's a renewal with no changes apart from the H&S exam then it should be very quick and if this applies to you then I suggest ringing them to find out why it is taking so long

One of our blokes has been trying to get a card for over 3 years now! He was an apprentice when he tried to get his first ECS card, that never happened, he then applied for a different card now that he is qualified and is still waiting. The ECS portal thing is a nightmare. Good luck with phoning them, you might not get very far. At one point they said he needed to add an extra certificate, but they didn't know what certificate he needed to add!?! It's just another money making scam.
