Electrical Course

Hi all looking for some help im an apprentice plumber in my second year and would like to know what courses are available to be able to wire boilers intall electric showers either like for like or new install (if possible) just want to be above board with regulations and safety some have recommended part p but is it the right course i have little basic knowledge of electrics although i know how to wire a heating system as it something they teach us but yet we cant do

Hi, Part P is a regulation not a qual. Your probably best doing the 17th edition course to start with a recognised testing course. Don't forget you'll need to be registered with a scam as well. Bit I would recommend you just get a spark in. You should probably do some work with electricians for experience as well. And remember it's not as easy as it looks.

That would be my opinion as well, I appreciate the good intentions, but you do your job and let us do ours.

thanks for your help and advice i know it aint easy just wanted to learn how do i go on for swapping an electric shower and putting a boiler on plug top till electrician wires it to programer etc.
