Hi, I currently look after 2 care homes, the owner wants to get rid of the company that looks after the fire alarms and has asked if I'd be interested in taking on the contracts. I did a fair bit of fire when I was employed, know my way round a lot of the panels and am happy to take them over. They are asking if I have any qualifications for fire installs, which I don't, is my approved electrician grading good enough? When I was employed the company was bafe registered. I wouldn't mind doing the FIA courses if I get the contracts. The homes are currently monitored but I can get a company to take on the red care side without any problems. Any advice appreciated.
