Head scratcher

Morning all,

Why when the upsrairs lighting circuit is conected would the rcd not trip at 1 x and at 5 x.

Also when testing trip times on the other rcd ( with the circuit above connected) , both rcds would trip.

Borrowed neutral accross neutral bars.. Have you just done a cu change.?

he needed the end of the cable for a head scratch.

As other as said very comon normaly the landing light which is fed from the downstairs circuit uses the neutral from the upstairs circuit
