Not sure how to do this so......Been an electrician for about 20 years. Started as an electrical draughtsmen (did my part1 and 2 the started C course while being a draughtsmen) got made redundant so started on the tools. Worked on industrial and domestic thou nothing big. Now working as an inhouse electrician for a museum doing maintenance and install.

Been checking in for a while and found the form very helpful. After getting the ‘if you have zero posts you will be deleted’ message I thought I would give it ago.

Hi,

I'm new to all this,
Is there a thread/place where newbies like myself can ask questions about starting a new career as an electrician/whats certs to get/look for?
I dont want to become a cropper and go down the short-cut route of "become an electrician in 8 weeks" etc etc because I'm a believer in doing things properly... just dunno where to start!
