Discuss How to determine how many watts an outlet can handle in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I live in Thailand and my home has 240v, 3 phase power supply. I want to add an electric car charger but first want to determine what the outlet in the garage can handle so I can size the charger appropriately. The circuit breaker this outlet connects to is 16A. Does this mean the outlet is capable of 16*240=3840 watts? Or since the power supply is three phase is the wattage different? Note the breaker for this outlet is Schneider Electric QO116C06RCBO30.

"Residual current breaker with overcurrent protection (RCBO), Square D QOvs, 1P+Ns, 16A, C curve, 6000A, AC type, 30mA"
