If the washing line is plastic coated steel then no need for the cable, whack a stake in the ground at the shed for N and E and use the washing line as the live. Voila, a home made TNC supply.

Aye, that's all very well but what if he wants to put the light on at night when it's dark??? :smilielol5:

OP ...

You won't electrocute yourself, but you might burn the shed down.
Dangerous places, sheds.

The shed is about 3m from the house so ill gaffer tape the extension leads to the washing line but what lights do you guys recommend?

What a stupid question! "Gaffer tape"???? Need to use metal cable ties now, keep up with the regs!!!

As for lights? You should go for 6 x 500w sodium floodlights. That extension cord will be ok, I think?????

...You can joke, but me mates grandad,jump-started his vehicles, using one positive lead, and touching the front bumpers together! If i remember,he had an old Cavalier and a Viva,so,chrome bumpers all round...

...Nice black dots and rusty marks, but he always got to his Lodge meetings...:icon12:

Nowt wrong with Gaffer Tape.

It's been fixing things from broken microphone stands through Roadies ripped jeans to burst truck radiator hoses, shredded fan belts and anything and everything between for decades and will still be doing so long after the new fangled metal cable ties have rusted into oblivion!

...You can joke,but .....

Yeah, after making that post I kinda regretted it cause I know someone somewhere will probably try it. I think this thread will probably disappear once it's well and truly April the 2nd.
