Hello. I need a little DIY help. I'm building a stage (i.e. freestanding deck) in my backyard. I want to put a 50 amp outdoor subpanel at the stage with 4 20 amps circuits in it. We plan to host bands and this allows them to power their setup without a generator. The issue is it's located about 180 feet from the subpanel in the house I want to draw from. Can I run 6/3 copper that distance from a 50 amp circuit? Is the voltage drop too much? What options do I have here? One restriction I have is that the conduit form the panel inside to get outside the house is 1". (located in the US)
Thanks

I believe that you can run that far with the wire size and breaker size. The 1 inch pipe will be the problem. You will need to buy single wire instead of cable. By code you can put 3 # 6 THHN wires and a # 10 ground but you better have some help and plenty of wire pulling grease. I’m sure the band equipment won’t pull that much amperage
