We have been MCS accredited for over two years now and nobody has been and audited or checked anything we do. We are with NICEIC and they do yearly checks/ inspections on our electrical work but never on MCS stuff yet. Has anybody has a yearly audit and/ or do they ever take place.

Thanks

The NICEIC have gone a little sporadic with their inspections to ourselves. I look forward to our general electric NICEIC inspections as our inspector is a clued up and interesting guy, but the MCS inspections are plain boring. Frustratingly petty NCs are about the best part about it.

oh well i may aswell stay in !! best odds ive had for yrs!!! biggs my niceic insp is a pain in the bum he picks at everything!! i dont like him one bit !!

Im in the same boat well overdue an mcs inspection. I havent chased up either at the moment as I have enough on my plate.

Can your registration get cancelled if you are not inspected? They did send me a bill at the start of the year for another years fees which I paid but I didnt get a new certificate. Should I have done?

Not worried or chasing was just finishing off last bits of paperwork earlier today and thought came to mind. REA is a joke, we joined at same time as MCS and was dreading more paperwork and forms but no such dramas just pay your money and your in and heard nothing from them since. Never asked for any documents/ insurances/ H & S policies. They even allowed us to add Solar Thermal when we hadn't even got MCS for it at that point. No point moaning though had a good run with PV this year and just waiting to see what this consultation brings.

I would imagine all the MCS inspectors have been far too busy to look at the companies that already have it as they have been so busy with keeping up with all the new registrations.

Expect that to die down a bit now so beware :p
