Hi all

I wonder if any of you can help me as I am just trying to get going with PV and am on my assessment job

My NAPIT inspector has flagged up my handover pack/operation manual as needing a section on future building considerations and was a little vague as to what they were. I haven't been able to find much other guidance?

I have put down the following...
Possible Building Control/Planning Consents required for modification of the array
Modifications that may affect the structural integrity/loading of the roof
Maintaining a safe access/egress route to the panels
Avoiding shading of the array

Am I barking up the correct tree? And is there anything else I should add?

Many thanks in advance if you are able to help

Regards

Mark

he means like future roof works or extensions to the property so you could have .

say a tile needs replacing or a reroof so you need somthing in the handover pack to instruct them or point out safey issues.

Excellent.. Will add that in about roof repairs. Had included a bit about retiling the whole roof but was thinking more from a change in roof loading aspect, Think I might have been getting a bit carried away..

Our commissioning certificate has a simple paragraph that says:
Future Building Works
Any changes to the existing fabric of the building including the construction of extensions, annexes and the like as well as planting of trees and large shrubs could affect the performance of the Solar Panel Array.

Cheers fella's I have more than covered it then.... My lad and me fitted it in conjunction with a lighting rewire in about 5 days so i was feeling quite pleased for our first one.... I reckon I must have spent about another 3-4 days on the paperwork in total mostly with head in hands!... Ho hum, still at least it should be a bit simpler next time. I suppose the next challenge is trying to understand how the Green Deal obstacle course works...
