what is the difference between NEMA 5-15P and NEMA 5-15R ?

I'm thinking about buying a surge protector and the manual says "It distributes power to 16 NEMA 5-15R receptacles from a single NEMA 5-15P plug"

So i am wondering if it is the same type of connectors and if it will fit with standard power outlet from a normal canadian house

haha!!.... The P stands plug and the R stands for receptacle!! As far as i know, the Canadians use the same receptacles and plugs as the US...
