Agree with the posts,but also lack of skills,mostly due to fast fix installs.
The sparks with have now,the younger generation really ain’t got a clue,it’s down to the old brigade,which in days gone by,the next new sparkies were always willing to learn & work.

The guys from Eastern Europe are coming here for your training because they say it's so easy here.

The guys from Western Europe aren't because they also have higher standards and respect them
 
Anyone and their auntie can develop their own training courses but to get accreditation they also have to submit them to Summit Skills for approval.

So EAL and others undersell City and Guilds so they dummy down their courses to compete.

JIB seem to only accept City and Guilds certification which is a good starting point, but the differences between certification and accreditation are becoming blurred

Is EAL another exam body?

The JIB accept EAL qualifications.
