Agree with the posts,but also lack of skills,mostly due to fast fix installs.
The sparks with have now,the younger generation really ain’t got a clue,it’s down to the old brigade,which in days gone by,the next new sparkies were always willing to learn & work.

I think thr problem is, that the training Centers only teach people to pass exams.
They don’t teach people to understand the subject.

When I was at college there was only C & G and all knew the value and structure of the levels and so did employers. So what is this EAL exams all about.

Anyone and their auntie can develop their own training courses but to get accreditation they also have to submit them to Summit Skills for approval.

So EAL and others undersell City and Guilds so they dummy down their courses to compete.

JIB seem to only accept City and Guilds certification which is a good starting point, but the differences between certification and accreditation are becoming blurred
