Hello I have a double plug socket which is very odd indeed! I can't upload pictures of it on the forum as I don't know how, however the double socket I have has 2 x screw cap covers which you take off and unscrew the cover with the electric turned off obviously! Through the plug socket are in the middle of the plug which is where the screws holes are located. This differs to a standard double socket with the screws either side of the socket so I can't put a new cover on. It isn't an old socket but I don't know where or if I can get a replacement? If anyone can help and need pictures sending I can do so. It is a very odd plug socket indeed! Thank you for your help. :)

If I'm reading this right it sounds like a Converta socket which converts a single to a double (or a double to a triple).

I would agree with both the above
Something like this
converta socket.jpg
just replace with another converta socket, or cut out a new double back box and fit a standard double socket.

To put a picture on here, get it on your pc as a jpg file and either
Drag it to the reply panel
Or
Hit the 'upload file' button and select your file

Simples!
