Discuss The future: The new way to terminate SWA in the Electricians' Talk area at ElectriciansForums.net

I would have used something a bit cheaper than a jubilee clip, whats wrong with tape?

In the voice of Yoda - Insulation Tape...an electrician it is like. Both a bright side and a dark side it has. Binds the electrical universe together it does!:D

i worked on a contract moving machinery at a major lighting manufacturer near doncaster about 40yr ago and they would not buy cable glands they insisted we used short pieces of conduit & 2 jubilee clips , unless we bought the glands at our cost

All i can say to that is, ...The Engineer in charge at that time wasn't worth a crust mate!!! And 40 years ago, would have been very unusual too!!!
