Update Your Email Address

Please make sure your email address that you have registered with the forum is active.

If a couple of emails that automatically get sent to you when people reply to your threads, or you have a PM, or anything like that gets bounced for being not active, then the forum will now automatically restrict your account and send you a PM telling you to update your email address.

You then need to active your account again by clicking on a link in an email we send you.

And then if you were a member of the Arms or any other area of the forum, you will need to again prove you're a business and whatnot.

So it's just making work for nothing and restricting peoples accounts who are often the regulars on the forum.

If you could arrange that the forum does not do this quite so automatically and perhaps on the first "undeliverable" stops sending emails for 24 hours and then tries again and if after this the account is not able to receive email then starts the close down process this would avoid the unnecessary work when an email suppliers server drops out for ten minutes.
Alternatively if the forum could assess the response from the email server to see a server is down rather than getting a "this address does not exist" message this would resolve a lot of problems.
