OK...here's the scenario...

Metallic incoming water & gas pipes, plastic clipped, no branches, to a correctly wired combi, but not connected.
The pipes are Extraneous, the combi metalwork is Exposed.

Connect the pipes to the combi...




No involving metal window frames, knives and forks etc etc!
 
i gave your query 10 seconds thought before losing the will to live.....
however , before i descended into madness i decided it doesnt matter if metalwork is both extraneous and exposed , it will still need a protective bond for the pipes and a cpc for the boiler electricals , both earthing types doing a seperate job.

cpc for the combi, and bond the pipes to the MET.
