Discuss Where to sell electrical equipment, tools & cables in the For Sale and Wanted Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

There is Nothing in the pics that has big value etc etc . Facebook market page might be ok , but prepare for a lot of time wasters . A car boot might get you £200 , but is it all worth it ??

good luck

I know but it's all got to be cleared out and would be a shame just to chuck it

My initial thoughts were similar to those of @LukeD. I didn't wish to voice that opinion as someone spent considerable time and money accumulating these tools and that someone was your late father.

Sadly the tools we pay eye-watering sums for devalue at an alarming rate and quickly become outdated as technology progresses - all too often similar collections end up in a skip. I'm in a less than ideal location to help, but quite like your attitude in wanting to see them go to good use and I sincerely hope you succeed in that ambition - along with gathering some money for your mother.

Here is one other option.... "gift it" .Ask around for to learn who is starting up or even has just had some of their tools stolen. A young person could really benefit if they are starting out and money is tight .I know It wont help your mother , but its still a "good ending"

A Men's Shed is a great way to donate tools. They can refurb, test and pass on to those in need, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that someone less fortunate has some tools to work with.
My local branch receives hundreds of items a month, and some are very good, while some are just scrap...whatever, everything finds a home eventually.

Thank you that’s really kind
