Discuss Who to complain to???? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

TNCS and the incomer has been bonded due to being an extraneous conductive part.
how can it be extraneous? extraneious is, by definition, metallic services which are not part of the electrical installation, likeley to introduce an earth potential

Systems for the distribution of electricity to the public do not fall under the scope of BS7671 and consequently out of the scope of the electrical installation. The sheath is going to introduce an earth potential.

Im confused as ths op says he has had a combi boiler changed and shows us a picture of an old wylwx db witn one new rcbo in it maybe they have had a eicr done and some rems done such as upgrading mains tails and fitting an rcbo , but who knows, . We nead to know what work has been done and by who ??

if its just the boiler spur thats been added, id say its not the neatest. Although zone wise he is in the clear, as for workmanship seeing as your rent you just have to put up with it. No point ranting and raving, i have seen far worse, plus by the time you fill the room with rubbish and junk it wont be an issue as with most cu's you cant get to the bloody thing....

It says on the spur its for the out house so still non the wiser

I think we need to start this thread all over again! As everyone has said already what exactly has been done here? You say a new boiler was fitted, but you've shown us a picture of the consumer unit and an FCU for an out-house. Start again and tell us what has been done, who has done it and when the did it etc. Daz
