Wylex 3036 board - PFC, EICR query

Guys,
I'm aware that 3036's come in Type 1,2 & 3 with different max fault current capacities. What I don't know is how you tell the difference between the Types.
Also, if you assume a Type 1 at 1Ka, what would you code an installation with Type 1 rewireables with a PFC of 1.42Ka? The installation is 40+ years old in really good condition.

Hi Should be marked sa1, sa2, sa3, its then 1,2,4kA respectively.

It's the pfc of the supply and therefore relates to the supply fuse.

Think he means the head fuse can be used to provide short circuit/fault protection to the 3036 fuse.

The BS88 cutout fuse will limit fault current, in this scenario it will be fine.

Hi Rob, i think you were right first time around, at such a low fault level its very possible the peak current will exceed the measured, so in this case if its the SA1 or SA2 the BS88 will not cascade.
