Hi all
Went to a job yesterday to chase out the walls in the living room. Chasing went fine but very dusty as you would expect from black mortar.
The problem came when trying to clip the cables withing the Chases.
The clips would simply fall out, or the mortar would just crumble.

I have just acquired a new MFT 1720 as my master meter.
Why are the probe/croc leads coloured RED,BLACK and Green.Why not BROWN,BLUE and Green.
The outlets on the meter are Red,geen(black) and blue.
On the fitted plug mains leads they are Red,green and blue !
What's the logic red and black...

while testing a DB in a primary school today, i found all the conductors within the DB coated in a black sticky, tar-like goo. see attached photos. im assuming its the conductors overheating and the insulation melting. can anyone confirm this. If that is the case, i can't understand it...

OK, so went to do a PIR on a pub today. Had a 3 phase supply head and board, but only 2 of the phases were used.
