    Caravan hook ups

Testing a touring site for the first time - a.n.other has been doing it for years. Incoming TNCS to glorified shed in field, outputs to hook ups earthed by SWA sheath, not connected to the big metal dis board, terminated in plastic boxes and connected to a rod so is theoretically TT'ed. However...

    Caravan hookups

I was asked to test five caravan pitches for someone I've done a few jobs for. Now, I'll admit my knowledge on TT systems is not vast so I'm looking for a bit of advice. The install has been tested by a large local contractor every three years. When I got there the setup was as follows. BS 1361...

    EICR for a static caravan.

TNS, Ze 4.35. Hmmmm. If in doubt don't. Measure it twice, cut it once. If in doubt, do it again. 0.68 that's better. Bad connection, my fault. But who else not in the know would have questioned it.

    Caravan park installation

Working in a caravan park as a full time electrician found that most of the hook up point in every single pitch got high Zs reading because of using two core SWA (average 1.7 ohms TNS earthing system). In some cases up to 31ohms because corroded SWA glands and broken SWA. if there's been used 3...
