Discuss app controlled sockets/switches in the Electricians' Talk area at ElectriciansForums.net

Er you can lutron is overpriced and under performing you will only really find it in residential and interior designer specced commercial applications... there are alternatives that do everything lutron do and more normally for a fraction of the cost...

Mode, Rako, iLight, Niko all have advantages even KNX can be quite good

Never tried Mode, but fitted and worked with Rako, had problems, used iLight, had problems, worked with Niko once, seems like a good product, but on lighting alone, doesn't even begin to compete with Lutron's capabilities. Funnily enough, I have never had a single problem with a Lutron system.

You get what you pay for. If it was simply overpriced, no one would be buying it.
