Very sensible mate. What a bloody cheek to say it's none of your business how it is done, it is totally your business. Don't do EICR for him either, he wont want to pay for it unless it is satisfactory, which is clearly is no where near. Hate cheapskate builders. Inform build control that there is a non notified, non compliant job, installed by unqualified, unregistered persons and that it has been energised. I have found Build Control take interest when they can issue fines.Thank you all for your positive responses.
I actually did tell him he is a 2 bob, packed my tester and walked away. I also wrote a formal letter to the home owner advising them of the faults I uncovered.
I'll let you know the response from the home owner.

problem is if theres no immediate & present danger....then theres no standing for a danger notice....is there...go one better and issue a danger notice and send a copy to labc as well
