Hi

I have started testing on a large caravan site i did a condition report and full inspection and testing on one caravan took me 3 hours.

The previous contractor (Niceic domestic installer ) does 10 caravans total of two people in 4-5 hours including certificates

My client has now asked me to do a condition report only 10% to be tested as thats what previous contractor did, can this be done on limitations/extent to be agreed???

Personally i like every thing 100% and i don't like a bodge job i rather walk away please help!!!

NICEIC has said that the company/ person should be an approve contractor as it is commercial. (im approved contractor)

But they did say that any one does not have to be registered and could use the BS7671 template or purchase the green forms. If any thing when wrong then trading standard would be involed

Thanks

Pete

If that is what the customer wants then do that, just mention that the 10% should be sequenced and the testing frequency should be increased 10 fold to cover the whole caravan in the required time!

If everything seems to be OK then you could do a 10% limitation, but it is becoming a bit pointless doing the inspection.
3 hours seems a little high for 1 caravan, but I do not know the level of equipment present and access and information so I could be wrong.

So I do number of points take the install sort ready for ring circuit the. R2 + Insulation resistance on all cubic units they have 30 spot lights 3 fans and 10 double socket with 3 electrical app :) then I do zs both cu at caravan and hook up with pfc then rcd hook up and cu

30 mins form filling

am i doing to much lol

Your post does not seem to make a lot of sense but I think you are about right on the testing. The units are larger than I had anticipated. Downlights are a nuisance. 30 mins form filing is quick for me.

a lot of sites do percentage tests, say a different 10% every few months till the lot has been tested

at the end of the day its down to the client what they want testing and thats what LIM and the comment sections are for
