I've obtained a copy of the G83 notification. The DNO is listed as EDF. I thought it should be UK power Networks. Can anyone confirm?

I've done a bit more googling, aren't EDF and UK power Networks the same DNO (formerly EDF now UK power?) I want to call them to confirm they have received the notification but don't want to open a can of worms or look stupid if the notification has been sent to the wrong DNO!

Edf brought seeboard when seeboard was the dno but all changed now. Uk supply networks are the dno know, was brought by the chinese

Have you also got a copy of the DNO response to the G83 notification giving permission for you to operate your generator in parallel with the public network? That is what WPD do over this side of the country.

The first 2 digits of your mpan plus a google/wiki will tell you who your DNO is if there is any doubt.

I haven't got a response from the DNO confirming permission which is why I want to call them and ask for it. My installer said they have no obligation to issue an approval letter, so I want to make sure they have got me down as notified.

In your experience do they always issue approval letters?

I can only speak from experience with the old Central Networks (now WPD), Western Power Distribution in the south west and SSE in Wiltshire, but I have always had a response to notifications.

Out of all our Notifications I have never had a response From UK power networks (EDF) Apart from a minor mistake when I leave a box Empty!! But Weston Power replied Every time?
