EICR coding help

After going to church this morning I had a EICR to do for a friend where someone had been growing some illegal substances and the police or DNO had removed the meter for evidence. So only dead test can be carried out and it needed a EICR before a new meter is fitted. The RFC is protected by a Type 2 BS 3871 L+N both had continuity but there wasn't any on the CPC R1+R2 is 0.8 on the circuit I am thinking a C3 as proved there is a CPC at every socket just no continuity on it.

I could imagine a break in the ring being painful, so i concur with tel

a 16A or 20A MCB will hardly break the bank, stick it in there, advise your mate what you have done and no need to code it.

But it will still be a broken ring final circuit, changing the OCPD will not repair the break in the circuit

Having been pondering over this for nearly 6 months, I am grateful for your input as was still unsure on how to code until now. So finally I can issue the cert and get paid for the job.

With all that dope to get through I’m not surprised its taken you so long to complete this EICR.
Next time you go to church I hope you’ll pray for divine guidance for when you undertake such problematical work. You stand more chance there than getting any sense on here.

You could always ask the elders.
