Extending shower cable

Rip the lot out and start again!!

As an easy solution if the cable comes up the wall and does not reach then cut 20mm off the incoming pipework and reposition the shower lower to reach the cable.

Richard's solution is a winner. lower the shower position. obviously.as others have said, RCD protection is essential.

Thank you guys I'll take it back to the cord and ensure it is safe. I can't put it into the shower unit as a new shower is being fitted and it's being moved over to sit above the bath. Your advice is much appreciated. I will also ensure it is RCD protected

Advise customer to turn off shower immediately and do not use until rectified. Wait til you know exact new location off shower and run new cable. Simples.
