Hi there so I'm Doing a Domestic Flat With a lot of Gu 10 led down lighters . bathroom ones being Ip44 and the rest fire rated . I've wired the lighting in conventional 3 plate wiring . So Feeds ,Switchline . Neutrals and pcp all at 1 light. Switch Line neutral and pcp looped in each room. Also both bedrooms I've run a feed cable to both wardrobes to operate wardrobe lights . So in some cases I've 1 ,2,3,4 and some cases 5 cables at lights . Of course 3 core to feed fan isolator for over run fans in 2 bathrooms . That's My scenario
So I'm a luddite in some ways .... If it works why break it Vibe . I've seen lots of new found products to connect them up Clix and wago with junction boxes etc . However My first thought was the tried and tested method of using 4-way junction boxes With 1.5mm2 heat resistant flex feeding each downlight .
I'm working on an hourly rate on this installation ( it was too complicated to put in a price already there's been alterations etc ) So time is not a factor
So Appreciate your comments. Even better, ideas if you have any
Thanks guys

I find that a wago box with a SL/N to each fitting works well. This means investing in some wago boxes and connectors, but the amount of time and effort saved more than makes up for it. I've learned that there's some things that I just don't "get"; buying the cheapest, rather than the best that you can afford, sticking with old methods with known drawbacks, rather than trying new stuff to get around the drawbacks. Each to their own, but I see investing in such malarkey saves a lot of effort in trying to get 5 cables terminated safely. neatly at a light fitting.

Too late now, but with downlights, always take feed to switch and then sw line & neutral to each light and loop in & out. Or perhaps Click flow CT102 for 3 cable loop in & out.

I've used numerous items over the years, all have their merits, hager coffin boxes- great but screw terminals still, click flow plugs, screw terminals again, but also less room for cable, and no cable grip, quickest I've used are the line products egg things along with wagos, and cheapest but just as effective are the greenbrook choc boxes from screwfix with wagos inside

I always like to have a good few Hager Ashley and plenty of Wagos in the van. Both would be my weapon of choice. Used a traditional 30A JB the other week for the first time in ages and find them fiddly by comparison.

Not keen on the purple/blue click flow connectors due to no cable grip as mentioned. For your particular job I would normally use Wagoboxes.

You can get the click flow connectors with cable restraint, its just that no wholesalers seem to stock them.
