Hi all. Our house has a Bosch double oven which is rated at 4.4kW and a Bosch induction hob which is rated at 7.2kW. The hob is on it's own dedicated circuit. The oven however is connected to the same ring main as the 13A sockets via a 20A DP switch which runs with a 32A rcd as well.:confused: Will this cause problems? Should the oven be on it's own dedicated circuit?

As Paul said and the problem is that when you put the oven on and there are other appliances in operation on the ring the demand will be too big and it will trip out your mcb / rcbo.

However, if the oven is within 2metres (horizontally) of the hob isolator there is a very good chance (taking diversity into account) that the radial that supplies the hob could also supply the oven. Will depend on the length of the run and thickness of the cable.
