All of the previous listed plus,
banging your head,
decorators painting accessories,
missing the bottom step of your ladders,
hitting your thumb with your hammer,
forgetting that you have put your hammer on top of your steps and then moving them,
and two that drive me nuts,
coming out of someone's house covered in dog hair because they never clean up after it!
people who don't keep their kids out of your way while your working and they think that is OK for them to riffle through your toolbox/bag!

Or the bloke that decides to energize a circuit your working on to put the kettle on, own fault I know for not locking off but when your upstairs working in a Jb you expect a grown up to know better

have to say that twisting cpc`s together with tape wrapped around twenty times, and why do builders think they can cut out cpc`s on brass light fittings

Another one is having to explain to customers all the time how you are going to do things."Oh..I don't see how you can get the wire from here to there above all that plaster ceiling."And others who keep asking every ten minutes"How's it going?"

It’s an industrial one for me, but it must be the same for domestic.

Getting blamed for something going wrong when you’ve never been near it for months. Planed maintenance systems are great for attributing the blame on to the innocent.

I got the blame for £.5M of damage to a plant. It took me four months to find the culprit, it wasn’t me! Sub-standard spares supplied by an outside company. (I would love to name the company, but they’ve got more money than I have!)

Smelly dogs, dog hair all stuck in the velcro on the knee pad fastener. Cats getting underneath the floor boards! Customers with back gardens that look like mine fields covered in shog dit... I could go on with these pet hates.....
Once, a customer said, 'Wait whilst we lock the dog away' it ran round the back door and jumped and bit at me between my legs!! thank god my snickers are a terrible fit and hang low down there!

customers who gripe at £300 for a full day changing a CU, testing, rectifying IR and shared neutral faults, when " i can get one from B&Q for £50.

Getting blamed by a jobs worth that knows sod all for a battery UPS dying the morning after the night of an EICR inspection in a completely different area and DB of a factory!!

turning up on site to find you have no toilet because the previous tenant has trashed the place, then having to knock on the neighbours door when your boss has upset them by hammering and drilling at 7am!

Shops that don't sell sandwiches past 2pm
customers that don't offer you a cuppa!!!!

and shops that sell only sandwiches either brown bread and/or smothered in donkey snot (mayonaisse) with cucumber ( yuck)

my old boss, we had mobiles but sometimes they didn,t work so I had a pager and it used to vibrate somehow he always paged me just as I touched something big in a panel, you know it,s dead but the vibration of the pager still makes you jump.also the prat who rang up after I installed a large cable to his garage saying that his rcd kept tripping, asked what he had done he said nothing couldnt understand it as tests all ok several hours later find a dodgy teasmade in bedroom.tested it and guess what? faulty said he found it in loft after tidying up and decided to use it as it brought back memories!

Haha true, how come something always goes bang elsewhere on site just as you are cutting a known dead cable, like the joiners using a nail gun, still makes me jump when not warned..(never are haha)

people who still say 'Ring Main' :ciappa:

and how did we forget ceiling grid tiles which have the metal retaining clips making it impossible to lift without cracking them and cutting yr fingers!!!

Its happened again, ended up on another wobbly scissor lift, seruiously i was feeling sick up there and i was only at 4M, what is it about these lifts that they have to wobble so much. I was using a spirit level on some high level suspended trunking and it was a waste of time the bubble was feeling more queasy than i was.

Cat 2 diffusers that you cut your fingers to ribbons getting in and out and cat 2 diffusers that simply pop out but you spend a lifetime trying to get back in....then spend ages wiping off the fingerprints.

and DBs in tiny cupboards under stairs where you have to make yourself as small as possible to fit in, then spend the rest of the day walking around like the hunchback of notre dame!

no grommets on knockout boxes.....keep seeing this and just today the line conductor on one of these went to earth (through one of these ungrommeted boxes) and went off with a right old bang on a job i was doing....blew the line conductor away...fuse still held though....(BS3036-30A)

Good old fusewire... Don't they use the 30 amp for suspended bridge wire, it is so strong?

So called standard "breakers" that fit many different boards, was at a Mueller Db today and needed a B6 and had a few examples in the box, but all of them when tightened up went the wrong way and the breaker ran to the back of the board, except a Newey one that i have had for ages and never used. You would think they would make it easy wouldn't you. Even Merlin and Square D sit slight.ly differently and they are from same company.

Store men that think the door is a one-way valve, in only! Company accountants! Buyers that think they can get a cheaper option to what you ordered, it doesn’t fit but it was cheap! Production managers (the list is to long)! Production workers (the list is even longer)! Plumbers! A civil gang that armed with a mini digger can find every U/G cable or pipe in the area, except the one you want found!

The list is endless.

Then expect you to spend hours making it fit so it costs more than buying the proper part in the end

Or they tell you that the right part is not available any where so they got an alternative only for you to find a supplier with 10 times as many as you want

Brings me on to another pet hate, managers who have been to management school but haven't got a clue what the engineers they are managing do and are unable to support the engineers with technical advice and help and don't understand a repair takes as long as it takes and there isn't a standard job time for it

anybody that wears a suit and tie and not attending a funeral or wedding.

LOL

Downlighters right next to joists, downlighter holes cut with a padsaw so they all break up, CPCs twisted together in CU, architects, people who say "it will only take a minute", 45mm patress boxes without enough space in the knockout to fit 2 10mm T/E through, fancy light fittings without enough cable room, etc etc

we had a storeman once so tight you thought he was paying for kit, wouldnt give you a drill bit for a broken 1 if you didnt have all the bits.one job was a right b and we broke 3 bits went back to stores and he wouldn,t give me any more,so I stopped work(rush job)manager comes to find out whats going on so I tell him no drill bit and store man won,t give me any more,he looked at job and went with me to stores after giving storeman a long lecture on cost of stoppage v cost of drill bits storeman gave me a handfull and said to come back anytime.

Scumbags who put their feet on the opposite seat on the Metro (Tyneside's not bad public mass rail transport system for those who don't know)

cyclists. and especially the ones in cycle clubs who think it's fine to ride 2 and 3 abreast on country roads, with a dozen cars/vans behind , forced to drive at 10mph.

Yes and after breaking every rule in the highway code have the cheek to demand the motorist treats them better,if they didn,t put themselves in harms way we wouldn,t have to look out for them,If I decide to drive my car like a to***r I don,t expect everyone else to be responsible for my safety.

I often confuse the morning radio 1 show as a competition for the most obnoxious person award

I dream of having digital radio.....
