Drywall adhesive sticks like **** to a blanket and just so happens holds backboxes firmly in place when required when you find nothing but a hollow.
 
well i think you're a bit too cheap, by about £300, especially if you've got to make good his chases.

agree re: drywall adhesive great stuff, never used foam though.

I have used adhesive (as a last resort!!!) before, found some amazing stuff on the tinterweb , I think it's boat building glue in a pipe, that really is evil stuff, if you get that on your hand it isn't coming off this week. Its the gooey-est, stickiest stuff ever imaginable, you could stick bricks to the ceiling it's ace. AG Wood care is the web site.
 
p.s. price sound about right but I hate people doing their bit first to try and save a bit. Just says to me "alarm bell" there will be trouble later
