Hi can anyone give me a clue -- I have tested a ring circuit with a couple of spurs and continuity on line, neutral,
and cpc test o. k as does insulation resistance on live to cpc= 299 but live to neutral = 0.02 and neutral to cpc =0.00.

Have you isolated / unplugged every thing on the circuit..???

Remember sockets have mainly single pole switches, so plugs should be removed ..

Did you measure at consumer unit or at the socket outlet ?

Did you turn off the main switch of the CU?

Did you unplug EVERYTHING?

Is the circuit protected by a RCD?

Either there is something still connected or the circuit has a fault. If it's the former I hope you haven't thrown 500v up it, some things don't like it up em.
