Discuss Things an Electrician would never say in the Electricians Chat - Off Topic Chat area at ElectriciansForums.net

Someday I'll look back on this rewire and plow straight into a parked car.

Of course I agree mate; Fast Track Sparks are just as conscientious, knowledgeable and diligent as those "Time served types", and not at all akin to thrashing around clutching for the nearest straw! ;)

Doesn't time fly when you’re doing a rewire or was it really just one minute?

Don't have a go at me for using your towel, you're the one who forgot to buy toilet paper. Oh, and your electric toothbrush requires recharging. :D

according to the NHS, it takes around 20 - 30 years for inhaled asbestos dust to affect you lungs, so I'll be OK at my age

Depends when you drilled your first piece of asbestos I reckon.

I worked in the marine environment as a trainee electrician. I think thats where much of the the more dangerous stuff was applied, pipe lagging etc.

Alot of wives of boat building workers have died due to shaking and cleaning their husbands overalls and work clothes.

Im sure it will all be fine.

Sorry to be so serious, but a builder I did work with, as a young-un, died 3 weeks ago due to asbestos.

Its something many didn't take into consideration when I left school. Hopefully they do now.

All the best.

i don't think asbestos will bother me much. 50 years of 20 smokes a day might.

Don’t worry madam, all electricians eventually reach a point when they stop lying about their electrical abilities and start bragging about them instead. Have I mentioned that I’m the best there is!...LMAO :D

Yes Sir, it's perfectly o.k. to keep your pet rats under the floorboards, just don't feed them!

That roll of insulation tape in my box has no uses whatsoever,

No Madam, you can't pay me that way, besides, I haven't had any for so long, I cant remember which arm it's under.

I'd just like to play you a little song I've written. It's called: "Oh Mr Electrician you're hurting me".
