Discuss two methods to verify a low ohm meter i think is not working properly? in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

Use a known length and size of cable (GN3 page 104 Table A1), apply temperature correction factor (GN3 page 105 Table A2), calculate expected resistance, null leads, test cable, record resistance. Is recorded resistance same as calculated resistance?, yes :- meter is probably ok. no :- test another known length and size of cable. Still not the same. Send meter away to be re-calibrated.
