not impressed especially as it was a m8 & to cap it all (first job) MCS inspection on same day for the fella, but at least the paperwork was all good if you know what I mean

Would you be able to get a copy of the MCS certificate, and a signed statement from the customer that this system was inspected and approved by an assessor?

I'd like to take this to the MCS steering group as evidence of how poor some of the assessors are / how lax the enforcement is when it comes to the actual technical side of the installation as opposed to the paperwork.
 
I will be in Chelmsford over next few days if I get time I will pop in & see the owner, I am sure he will dig it out & can compare the dates for you, sure he will

yeah I'm not intending to make any trouble for the installer if it was the first job and being assessed, it's the assessor who's responsible for signing this off and allowing this installer to become MCS certified, and potentially end up installing further systems in the same way.
