Your degrees are admirable, but not overly relevant to installation work. Do you have a good working knowledge of the current wiring regulations and associated building regulations?

Just because you are not touching the earthing it doesn’t make it irrelevant. The earthing and bonding must be checked and tested for you to comply with the regulations and you will surely have needed the test results in your cable calculations for the new circuits?

Oh contraire.
An IT degree and knowing a NAND from a NOR doth not mean that you know anything about BS7671.

A decade and a bit ago, we faced the introduction of Building Regulations Part P. This meant that folk doing electrical work (such as yours) in their own homes had to have the correct qualifications and join a Competent Person Scheme.
I did enjoy the squeals of protest from the members of the IEE (now the IET) who had, up until then, done their own electrical stuff at home. The IET is the body that write the standard for Electrical installation (BS7671).
Now they had to go and get a measly City and Guilds qualification in Electrical Installation. Their HND's, Doctorates and Masters Degrees in Electronics did not qualify them to do any more than change a socket or two.
Nor does yours....
