the earth has 75% of water so where did that come from then .when the earth cooled down . think about it the earth is in a bubble . H2O did not appear over night .Hi Buzz, in what sense are you asking?
matter tends to come in 3 basic forms - gas, liquid and solid. Water (H2O) can be found naturally occurring on earth in all 3 states, steam, water, ice. Water forms when 2 hydrogen gas molecules interact with 1 oxygen molecule within in the right environmental conditions, hence H2O.
One of the things scientists look for on other worlds in and beyond our solar system is the signs of water, preferably liquid water because it appears that it is essential for life as we know it to exist. meaning there could be a possibility of life forming there
Comets.now I will throw a spanner in the works ,if this planet was mouton rock to hot and cooled down .where do the water come in to it .now think about it .
Although water covers around 70-75% of the Earth's surface, water is actually a rare substance that represents just 0.02 - 0.05 % of the Earth's total mass.the earth has 75% of water so where did that come from then .when the earth cooled down . think about it the earth is in a bubble . H2O did not appear over night .
I also ask God to help me after 15 pints of Stella who my head is in the pan..........That's the way God made them.

They're not round, they're flat
See we have at least two flat earth society members on here.
The comet theory has been around for years, probably from way before the internet or PCs.I reckon some people have been busy Googling this afternoon.

Touchy aren't we?
All I'd say is we must be in the presence of some learned Astrophysicists.
Said it before I could, as the earth spins the forces that are immense push the middle part out around its axis, hence the slight bulge when you look at distant pictures of earth from space. Not perfectly spherical. Fatter round the equator as the spinning pushes it out.
A bit like a builder after too many times on a merry go round
now I will throw a spanner in the works ,if this planet was mouton rock to hot and cooled down .where do the water come in to it .now think about it .
