    Electrical Panel breaker wiring

Hello experts! I ran some 6AWG wiring from my electrical service panel for a 240V outlet in my garage. The builder had provided an empty junction box with a conduit to the panel. So, all I did was fish the 4 wires and added a 50A breaker for the NEMA 14-50 outlet. See the attached picture. My...

Identifying an old Wylex CU Breaker

I was asked to "just fit a bigger breaker" by a plumber who had installed an electric shower for a customer. Pool Breaker Tripping

Hello, I been having an issue with my breaker to my pool pump tripping. It's an odd scenario that two electricians are unable to provide a resolution. My pool pump is on one breaker and I can run the pump for 24/7 with no issues. My heat pump is on another breaker and when I put my heat pump...

    Earth leakage circuit breaker

From a brief bit of Internet research my understanding is earth leakage circuit breakers monitor voltage on the CPC rather than an inbalance in current between L &N as an RCD does. Is this correct?

    32A or 40A circuit breaker?

A really simple question. I'm sat here with my coffee and getting confused by it! 7.4kW EVCP. Would I fit a 32A or 40A RCBO? Not concerned with anything else, as it's all sorted, but the fact that the 7.4kW equates to 32.17A has thrown me. I was just going to use a 32A RCBO, but really I should...
