Trying to locate a suitable RCBO for a Siemens board with (mostly) 5SX21 breakers in.
They don't seem to make this range any more, though I don't think it can be that old. It rather resembles the older MK breakers and I believe Siemens provided some of the electronics for MK stuff.

Hi
I have a MFT1553 Mega tester. Is there a feature on the tester to test 3phase RCBOs when there’s no neutral present? Pretty sure mot. Was wondering if i could temporarily connect a neutral on a Wander lead and use the three wire test method?
Thanks
John
Hi,
Anyone have experience in the following:
16a MK RCBO Tripped supplying Garage. 2 Circuits. Radial and Lights (6/16) MCB's
PME supply. Garage supplied in 6mm Twin and Earth with the Earth connected at the Main DB and Connector Blocked in the garage (doing nothing). Earth rod to garage in...
Hi I’m looking for some advice on what size/rating rcbo I should have installed for a radial circuit which will be running 2 washing machines 2 tumble dryers and steam iron and steam press all domestic appliances and possible all running at a single time ? I’ve been told conflicting info and...

Here's a weird one.. customer complains of sporadic rcd tripping some time ago so I do a series of tests, only thing on rcd are skts and lights... never got to the bottom of it but I noticed the quirky Square D quikline rcd trips at around 15mA on a ramp test.
So I recommend replacing the whole...
Done a condition report on a old mains board, everything good apart from ring final, got 0.55 nn 33.7ll and 3.8 on ee, changed board to main switch and rcbos, carried out a full accessory swap on all sockets and fuse spares in house, found some bad practice, twisted lives, n and earth's, no...
Hi,
1st post so go easy on me lol. just wondering if this is normal or if i should be looking for an issue?
Today i was fitting ferrules to the fly leads on a compleated cu,cu was fitted 2 weeks ago but did not have any ferrules at the time.
So upon dissconnecting each each lead (main switch...
Hi all,
Engineer carried out EICR and marked the above as a C2, I agree, the smaller cables could come loose easily as the terminal is mainly clamping the 16mm tail. Client said C3....
Hi guys
Hoping you guys could help. I have an 8 way RCBO board with all breakers used for dedicated circuits.
Ideally I would like to run a dedicated circuit to a new combi boiler I've had fitted rather than it be plugged into the ring main to prevent nuisance trips etc however as mentioned...
Hello,
I am currently working on a project that previously utilises a charger for a battery system that is connected via single phase 240V AC mains. The existing charger has the 15A inlet running through a 1P 16A schneider MCB with the active line connected to the MCB (with earth and neutral...
Was called out to a car park where they had the lighting circuit tripping out. Fixed the issue by putting damaged cables in an IP rated box. However just realised that the electrician who came out before myself took out the RCBO and replaced it with an MCB in hope that it would stop tripping...
hello every one i have a problem. i have been called out to a commercial kitchen where the 16A b type RCBO keeps tripping when you turn off a 20A DP switch that controls two dimmers which in turn supplies 2 sets of heat lamps
300w x 5 halogen lamps and 250w x 5 inferred ES lamps.
when the...
Hi Guys
Just installed a RCBO board to replace an old Wylex consumer unit that had Bs60898 MCB's fitted and an RCD main switch customer supposedly hadn't had problems in the past (not quite sure thats now true) when I carried out the EICR I found a problem on the outside garden lights, so...
Fitting a new CU today (domestic TT) and using "Fusebox" for the first time - 14 way Type A RCBO board, 9 ways used 5 spare.
All good until testing RCBO trip times - 7 test perfect, but 2 (both 6A) tripping during half test, 1 @ 0 the other @ 180. All loads disconnected, tested again, same...
Hello All,
Am checking a fault on someone elses install which is about 18 months old. Customer says it starts and operates ok then he stops to take a break ( it's a small pool with pumped flow to swim against), then tries to restart and the RCBO goes. So, I know it's hot when it happens but...
Hi all
I've just had 7 crabtree star breaker type a rcbos fail the half time on 180. I ordered replacements but they are the same tripping around 75ms. Just wondered if any one else was experiencing the same thing, it's only on the 6a rcbos. Making me doubt my tester tbh
Many thanks
Hi all! As the title suggests,I’m looking for your recommendations on the best rcbo boards available at a reasonable price. Doing my best to move away from dual rcd boards, but a lot of customers just wont pay the money for Rcbo’s. Any recommendations very welcome.
Hi, would like your professional opinion how to identify an rcbo from an rccd just by looking at it. For example, I have attached two photos, one the ABB (40A 30mA) is an RCCB and the other ABB (10A 30mA) is an RCBO. Supposedly they are both 40A 30mA, how can you tell which is the RCD from RCBO...
Hey all,
First off, Merry Christmas to all :)
Right, so I have had a really weird thing happen earlier today. We lost power completely to the whole house, I assumed something tripped one of the RCBO's, so went downstairs to check the CU, and notice NOTHING was tripped off? However there was NO...
