This is a bit of an odd one but I have a piece of art that I need some advice in wiring... Here is the problem:

I have an electronics project that I am finishing. There are 3 items involved that need a SEPARATE power source. Basically it is a wall hanging piece with a Neon Light and Cold Cathode Lights controlled by an arduino and bespoke board. I have been told that both boards should be powered separately.

1) Arduino Board (with CC3000 WIFI) powered by DC 12V 1 Amp
2) Custom Board powered by DC 12V 1 Amp
3) Neon Light powered by AC 240V 13A

I want the user only to have to put one plug in the wall. The way I would do it would be to put all 3 plugs on an 3 way gang. I want to hide all this in a box behind the neon on the wall - but I am worried that there may be safety issues here ?

I'm not an electrical expert... so any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated as i would think there must be a slicker way.

Thanks

should not be a problem for arduino and custom board to share 12v dc supply.
yes there may be safety issues on the mains side, especially if you are not sure how to wire it up.
make all mains wiring double insulated using correct cable and a proper enclosure...
maybe post some plan/drawing/picture of what you are building, will be easier to find out if something is messed up.
