I currently have a 100 amp sub panel for a 50 amp RV hookup (on a 60 amp breaker). This is about 100ft from the main with 2/4 wiring.

Would a 12000w generator plugged into RV hookup power the house? I think the issue would be limited amps so I could only run one of the following at a time:

1) 3hp well pump
2) 5 ton heat pump
3) Gas Dryer
4) Electric Oven

The RV hookup is also close to the propane on the property so I could have someone plumb the gas line for a generator outlet.

I would only need to change out the female end of a 10' 50 amp cable to hook the generator to the house.

With the RV hookup so far from the main panel it's not practical to put in an interlock or transfer switch. I would turn off the main circuit breaker before plugging in the generator to prevent backfeeding the grid.

Am I missing something?

Unfortunately,
what you are suggesting is potentially dangerous.
it may be possible to repurpose the cable to rv point and use it for generator but an interlocked changeover switch is required.
