Discuss Bosch range of 10.8v tools? in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

I've got the Impact Gun and Drill Driver kit, great combination - I've gotten rid of my 18V drill and replaced the older version of the 10.8 Impact when I saw that kit come out. The Impact gun is what I use most of the time, but the drill is handy for wiring and trunking etc. Enough power to use with a holesaw on galv conduit.
I also have the GOP multicutter - dead handy for flushing in backboxes and adjusting things, I bought it to aid cutting suspended ceiling edges, but it's a bit useless for that, still not found a good solution for that! (We do Networks/CCTV/Access Control so lots of trunking and holes all over!).
The batteries don't last long in the multicutter, make sure you get the 1.3Ah versions, not the 1Ah. I'm told you can re-cell them to 1.8Ah also.
Not found any problems with temperature, if anything they're better than the NiMh batteries in my 18V set.

Phoned a few companies to get a few prices for two ‘5 Piece Monster Kits’ (work colleague was also interested in getting one). I was told that they were selling the last few kits in stock because they were being discontinued?

I was told the same thing about the Bosch 18v kits when was looking a month or so ago and so decided to ring bosch. They are dicountinuing all of their kits, 10.8, 18 and 36 and they are all being re-released as some package deal thing where you pay £x for the drill and then £x for a 2nd tool and then for a third e.t.c......

I have the drill driver, amazing bit of kit!!!! A million times better than the makita and better than the dewalt
The multitool, this thing will get you out of sooooo many problems, never lever home without 1
The camera yet, to be used but it looked so shiney in the wholesalers and the pictue quality is bloody quality

I’ve only gone and done it!!! Bought myself a Bosch Monster kit! Was looking for things to drill and cut at home and noticed that the legs looked a little wonky on the dining room table. Didn’t go quite to plan, off to the furniture store tomorrow to buy a new table!

Was also shown the 10.8v camera.......wonder if I can sell a solid wood Japanese-Style coffee table?
