Hello all, I'm not sure if this is the right forum but I will share what I have. I'm going to be installing a heater in my garage (see title) My plan is to run some 8/2 wire from the electrical panel in my basement through the floor boards and into my garage. I will install a disconnect box just below heater in garage and then use some flex conduit to run the wire to the back of the heater.

It looks like the heater pulls about 32.5 amps running on its highest setting so I'm thinking a 40 amp breaker for my panel should be sufficient.

Does everything sound like I'm setting this up right? Am I missing something?

what is 8/2 wire? are you outside the UK?

I'm going to hazard a guess from the terminology that you are in the USA?
If so you'll probably be better off with a USA based forum, the vast majority of the membership of this forum is UK based.

it's both 110 and 220. the 220 being derived from 2 phases ( i think).

@110V your current would be 68A though.
