Can a 1-way unit be installed in a meter cupboard? My meter is at the rear of the property and consumer unit at the front.
The meter is due to be changed in a fortnight's time and wondered if i could ask that room is left to accommodate one.
The reason i ask is that i ordered an EV in October and then found my landlord needed the property back, car is sitting at the dealers and need to know if the charger can be installed at the new property. This is the only way i can see the installation with the new landlord being agreed to.
The house is terraced,so no outside wall to fix to and rear parking only.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Personally I'd as for an isolator to be fitted, if they are installing a new meter. Makes things a lot easier in the future.
You could then always get a small CU fitted in an adjacent box next to the meter cupboard.

Hi - it is not prohibited to have Customer Equipment in the meter cupboard. But as Buzz has advised - you need an EV savvy Electrician to advise options.

If possible could you post a photo of the meter box?
