Mmm strange.

Note on the conduit page it says "Covered Dy" whereas mine (2 years old) properly says "Covered by".

Why would that be altered whether counterfeit or later edition?
Just checked mine and mine says covered by as well, so the Ops must be counterfeit lol, poor so and so, I hate it when folk get ripped off.

I'm surprised the IET weren't very interested. OTOH There was something about this in one one of the monthly mags IIRC, so perhaps they have already dealt with the source and can do nothing more than wait for people to spot the fakes to get them out of circulation.

A good reason, though, to buy your regs directly from the IET.

All i can say is, that these counterfeiters must be of the really dim variety to produce every page themselves and getting it wrong in the process!! lol!! All they needed to do was make decent copies on a good copier.

Phoned the IET and they couldn't have cared any less, just told me to retun to Amazon.
You'd thought they would be interested in knowing about people copying their books as it's taking money away from them.

About 10 yrs ago when I was in college a lads missus worked for a printing company and he was getting her to knock up a bound copy of the brown regs book for a tenner, quite a few of the lads had one for that price!

You can't blame anyone, especially apprentices for doing just that. We all know that BS7671 and it's guides are publications restricted to the electrical/building services industry but the prices seems to be getting to the point of near ridiculous.

Hell, when i think back to when i first started out, we were given a copy of the Reg's, a Brooks mini handbook of motors, a B.I.C.C. book of cables and tables and a couple of other publications...

Those were the days ...What!!! lol!!
