Yeehah, another forum for the John wayne sparky to join. Did i read it correctly, he did say dont forget to do the Zs and RCD tests etc with the very expensive MFT didnt he:rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
i had a time served plumber help me with fault diagnosis on my combi from a plumbing forum, turned out to be the expasion vessel, saved me a chunk of cash.
my point is that i would of stripped my combi apart and he just saved me a lot of time.

i love that site!!! it taught me all i know!! i then registered with MY HAMMER And im driving around in a Ferrari and the missus has 3 holidays a year now!!

Nothing wrong with these forums if the info given is accurate to enable DIY people to do it properly and safely.
I see where you are coming from with your boiler but i bet you didnt bugger about with the Gas though.:eek:
 
to be honest ! forums are good idea if utilised correctly, i used this one before i registered and made sure what i was doing was correct as you gotta start some where...

i didnt feel competent of confident enough to do so, if a person feels confident and competent enough then surely its best to get advice off somebody who can give you accurate information rather than your mate down the pub.
