Hi guys,
Firstly, hello :seeya:, new to the forum.
Have been asked recently to carry out an EICR for a couple of mobile classrooms so knowing that they're a special location, spent a while trawling the forums for previous threads on the subject but not much information to be had. Did suss that the NIC used to offer a dedicated cert for Transportable Buildings but this has now been integrated with the EICR for Small Installations Not Exceeding 100A. Managed to browse over a copy and it has the section for supply characteristics and particulars of the origin. Now being a transportable building these details would obviously change per site, so is this something that needs agreeing as a limitation and leaving blank? Bearing in mind that the person asking for the work is the company supplying the classroom not the owners of the site it is currently at. To what extent can the actual unit install be tested? Can any live test results be recorded due to location changes? Would only dead tests and a visual inspection suffice? It's a little vague to me so any help or advice would be appreciated.
